Our vision is a bright green future where children can play and breathe clean air and our farmers have an abundance of fertile soil to grow food to feed America's families.
I’m interested in raising funds for my school, sport or activity and want to save the planet in the process.
I’m interested in learning more about how Biochar can increase my crop yields and regenerate my land.
I am interested in partnering with Biochar facilities to generate revenue from my ag waste.
CarbonZero.eco's mission is to provide Biochar at scale to America's heartland
Our mission is to introduce Biochar to roughly 525 million acres of farmland in the US, which could benefit from its regenerative properties, requiring over 2.6 billion tons annually. Supported by over 6000 studies, Biochar has been proven to significantly enhance soil quality and crop yields for future generations. Achieving this goal hinges on addressing two main challenges: farmer education and the substantial Biochar shortage in the US.
CarbonZero.eco, a Silicon Valley-based VC-backed startup, is tackling regenerative agriculture and climate change through Biochar, aiming to mainstream its use in farming and address the impending Biochar shortage.
With kilns capable of producing 30,000 tons of Biochar per year, five times more than current technology, they are revolutionizing Biochar production at scale.
CarbonZero.eco's process not only benefits farmlands but also stabilizes carbon for up to a millennium, their first project in Williams, CA will mitigate 1.5 million tons of CO2 emissions from waste breakdown.
Harper Moss
Co-Founder & CEO
Harper was just 15 years old when she first conceived the vision for CarbonZero.eco, driven by her passion to make a positive impact on the planet. Initially inspired by the idea of reforesting the Amazon, Harper engaged with a number of experts in carbon capture and carbon offset and came to recognize that Biochar was the best available technology that could make a real dent in global carbon output in the immediate term.
This journey of exploration ultimately led her to understand the remarkable potential of biochar in revitalizing farmlands and removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere — a practice largely overlooked across the 8.5 million acres of Californian farmland. Determined to catalyze change, Harper embarked on a mission to introduce the transformative benefits of biochar to farmers in California and beyond, paving the way for a more sustainable future.
Gregory Ray
Co-Founder & CTO
Over the past two decades, Gregory has built and managed several technology businesses. In 2007, he co-founded OEM.com, linking suppliers in the east with buyers in the west. The following year, he co-founded Seek Mobile Interactive, creators of the first 3D gaming engine for the newly launched Apple iPhone.
Their SeekTech engine powered the top-grossing game, Riddim Ribbon, designed by will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas. Tapulous acquired SeekTech, later becoming Disney Mobile post-acquisition by The Walt Disney Company.
Subsequently, Gregory co-founded Ever Adventure Ltd. in June 2013, introducing Zynga-like social-gaming experiences to the European real-money gaming market. At its peak, Ever Adventure grossed over $20 million annually and secured a $5 million series A funding round. Gregory brings with him a wide range of technical and management experience.
Chad Jensen
Founding Plant Engineer
Chad Jensen has garnered a rich experience in mechanical systems and project management over the years, starting with a seven-year tenure at Henkel North America. At Henkel, he was instrumental in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, a role that entailed ensuring their safe and efficient operation alongside continual daily improvements.
His approach was analytical, utilizing available data to pinpoint and address system weaknesses from both mechanical reliability and process flow perspectives. Following his time at Henkel, Chad spent two years at Morton Salt, where he excelled in executing multimillion-dollar projects.
His responsibilities spanned the entire project lifecycle from planning and oversight to successful conclusion. These projects were critical for the company, involving the addition of new production lines, feed systems, product flow enhancements, product modification, and storage solutions.
